JUST IN: Nnamdi Kanu drags Reno Omokri to Court, Demands N60 Billion

  The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has filed a N60 billion suit against Reno Omokri, a vocal supporter of President Bola Tinubu, at the Enugu State High Court, accusing him of publishing defamatory and prejudicial statements. In the writ of summons, Kanu is seeking N50 billion in general damages for alleged injury to reputation, emotional distress, and prejudice to ongoing judicial proceedings, and an additional N10 billion in aggravated damages, citing what the suit describes as “malicious and reckless publication of false statements” by Omokri. The suit further demands that Omokri publish a full retraction of the disputed statements in two national newspapers and on his Twitter/X account within seven days of judgment. Obi pummels Tinubu over corrupt, reckless borrowing, says debt-to-GDP ratio worst in history

 Peter Obi has raised the alarm that President Bola Tinubu’s government is plunging Nigeria into its highest level of debt-to-GDP ratio in history, with little to show for the debt accumulation.   A former member of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Kazaure, has predicted a loss for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections. The former lawmaker said as long as the election is free and fair, Tinubu would have lost at the polls by 12 noon on election day. Abdulmumin Jibrin, a close ally of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, at the State House, Abuja.  President Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, directed the Federal Civil Service Commission to immediate provide employment for 200 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) honourees. Obi has reaffirmed his allegiance to the African Democratic Congress, ADC. NANS Threatens Mass Protest Over Activities of Police’s Dragon Squad in Ogun

Open grazing violators risk three-year jail term, confiscation of cattle – Ogun govt

 The Ogun State Government has reminded cattle herders engaged in open grazing that they risk a three-year jail term and confiscation of cattle, as stipulated in the Animal Grazing Regulation and Cattle Ranch Establishment Law, 2020. The bill was signed into law by Governor Dapo Abiodun in 2021. The state government, in a statement by Hon. Kayode Akinmade, Special Adviser on Media and Strategy to the Governor, decried the continued violation of the law by certain herders in the state, warning that the government would not hesitate to enforce the provisions of the law to the letter.
