Abeokuta, Ogun State - March 1, 2026 - The Ogun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) wishes to notify the general public and all esteemed party members that the State Congress has been
scheduled to hold as follows:
- Date: Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026
- Time: 12:00 Noon
- Venue: June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta
- Accreditation: Commences at 11:00 AM
Eligibility:
Participation in the Congress is restricted to the following categories as prescribed by Article 12:8 of party's constitution.
(i) Members of National Advisory Council from the state
(ii) The State Chairman and members of the state Executive Committee
(iii) The State Governor & the deputy who are members of the party.
(iv) All serving and past members of the national assembly who are members of the party.
(v) All members of National Executive Committee from the state.
(vi) All serving and past members of state assembly who are members of the party from the state.
(vii) All elected Local Government Chairman and deputy who are members of the party.
(viii) All elected Local Government councillor s who are members of the state.
(ix) All party chairmen, secretaries and members of the LGA Executive Committee
(x) Five Delegates per ward ( at least, 2 whom shall be women) elected at ward congress
(xi) Members of Zonal Executive Council.
Premised on the foregoing, the party wishes to reaffirm that the procedure for the forthcoming State Congress shall align strictly with the agreements reached at the critical stakeholders' meeting held on 16th February 2026. This framework has been duly approved by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, the Governor of Ogun State.
The APC calls on all members and delegates to adhere strictly to these established guidelines. We urge everyone to extend full cooperation to the Congress Committees to ensure the conduct of another peaceful, transparent, and successful internal democratic exercise in Ogun State.
The leadership is confident that the spirit of unity and sportsmanship will prevail as we continue to strengthen our great party.
