Oyo APC Youth League Stages Massive Loyalty Walk in Support of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda

 The All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth League Oyo State chapter, under the dynamic leadership of Hon. Engr. Ayobami Dagilogba, demonstrated a remarkable show of unity and commitment to progressive ideals on Saturday 4th of October, 2025 as youths across the 33 Local Government Areas of the state converged in Ibadan for a Loyalty Walk in honour of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. The streets of the state capital came alive as thousands of energetic and determined young progressives marched in solidarity, reaffirming their support for the President’s vision and the enduring ideals of the APC. The walk, which drew massive participation, symbolized not only loyalty to President Tinubu but also the readiness of the APC Youth League to be the driving force of the party’s success ahead of the 2027 general elections. FCT Council Polls: Wike canvasses support for AMAC chairman


 The Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has thrown his weight behind Mr Christopher Maikalangu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the forthcoming FCT Area Council elections.


Maikalangu is seeking re-election as Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the area councils polls scheduled for February, 2026.


Wike campaigned for Maikalangu during the inauguration of the construction of a 7-kilometre access road with four-span bridges to link Tunga Madaki with eight other settlements in AMAC.


The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports Maikalangu, recently defected to the APC from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).


The minister urged residents of Tunga Madaki and neighbouring communities to reciprocate the Federal Government’s gesture by voting for the AMAC chairman.


Wike, who described Maikalangu as “a tireless advocate for the Tunga Madaki Community’, recounted his efforts in making the road projects a reality.


“Maikalangu has never stopped reminding me about the promise made to you during the land compensation process for the second airport runway.


“He kept pressing, and here we are today for the inauguration.


“I am handing him over to you; support him in the February 2026 elections, so that by June, when the road is commissioned, we will all dance together in celebration.


“One good turn deserves another; when you do for me, I do for you; when you fall for me, I fall for you; when you listen to me, I listen to you.


“You have had council chairmen before, did anyone remember Tunga Madaki or connect you to the airport?“Ask them, where they were when your roads were not motorable,” he retorted.


The minister urged the crowd to reflect on past leadership and question the absence of attention prior to the President Bola Tinubu-led administration.


“Remember the man who remembered you during the rainy season.


“This is a time to stand with the party that brought development to your doorstep,” he added. (NAN)

  Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court, Abuja has dismissed a defection suit instituted against the 27 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike. The suit seeking to replace the 27 lawmakers on account of their alleged defection from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) was dismissed on various grounds. Delivering judgement on Friday, Justice Lifu held that the suit instituted by the Action People's Party (APP) was statute-barred and was not filed within 14 days allowed by law. While the defection was said to have been carried out in December last year, the APP filed the case on July 12, eight months after the cause of action emanated.
