Fayemi and I Started the Opposition Movement Against Tinubu – Rotimi Amaechi


 Rotimi Amaechi, a former Governor of Rivers State, who also served as Minister of Transport in the Muhammadu Buhari Administration, has disclosed that he and Dr. kayode Fayemi the former Governor of Ekiti State started the fledgling opposition movement geared at unseating President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.


In a Post on X on Friday, August 8, 2025, Amaechi said he and Fayemi, conceived the idea and expanded it to include others, leading to the ADC Agenda.


“Fayemi and I began the Coalition discussion and we subsequently agreed to broaden it so that it would involve more than just the two of us talking about starting a new party .


Other prominent political actors who have signed on for the new ADC Coalition include two former Secretaries to the Government of the Federation SGFs Babachir Lawal and Boss Mustapha, and former Minister of Sports Bola Abdullahi who is the interim spokesperson .”
