Ahead of official declaration and defection of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressives Congress (APC), two members members representing the State in the Red Chambers of the National Assembly, Senator Adenigba Fadahunsi and Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi have announced their exit from the PDP.
Senator Fadahunsi represents Osun East Senatorial District of Osun and Senator Fadeyi represent Osun Central Senatorial District.
In a separate letter written and addressed to the national chairman of the party copies of which were made available to newsmen in Osogbo revealed that the two senators said their membership withdrawal takes immediate effect.
They both cites irreconcilable differences and irreparable division that had engulfed PDP as well as court cases and counter court cases in the last three years as their reasons for their withdrawal and exit from the party.
They maintained that they took the decision after due consultations and engagement with stakeholders in their constituencies.
They however did not indicate which political party they wish to go but unconfirmed report revealed that they are likely to follow Governor Adeleke to APC as being rumourned.

The Senator representing Osun Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi Ajagunla has resigned form the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Senator Ajagunla made this disclosure in a personally signed resignation letter dated June 12, 2025.
Senator Ajagunla confirmed that he has left the PDP
